OFA took part in National "Round Robin" comparison of interferometric data interpretation in 1998 using Fringe Masterä in conjunction with a Zygo interferometer. Optical test samples were prepared and tested at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and distributed to interested parties in academia and industry under the supervision of Prof. David Briers of Kingston University.
The results, collated and analyzed by Prof. Briers, working in conjunction with N.P.L., show that the Fringe Masterä results are in excellent agreement with the N.P.L. values.
Results of the test have been published and are available either from O.F.A. or from the usual literature sources.
