OFA manufacture self referencing, radial shear interferometers for the measurement of laser wavefront quality. This is important for the optimisation of the laser to achieve the most efficient propagation of the beam and for the best focus.
Fringe Master, OFA's static and phase shifting fringe analysis system, has been optimised for use with such interferometers and incorporates proprietory algorithms to enable fringe tracking against noisy backgrounds. Fringe Master can be used with c.w. lasers or with pulsed beams, using a TTL trigger input to give reliable synchronism with single shot events.
